Make sure the good work you have helped to begin can continue - with a
legacy to Feed The Children (UK).
Income from legacies, whether large or small, is enormously valuable to
us - and is a way to make a lasting difference into the future.
There are three main types of legacy:
Pecuniary bequest: when you wish to bequeath a fixed sum of
money, for example, £1000.
Residuary bequest: when you wish to bequeath all, or a part
of what is left after your main bequests, costs and inheritance tax.
Specific bequest: When you wish to leave a specific item of
value, such as property, jewellery, shares, etc.
Reversionary bequest: When someone else needs the use of the
property first. You may wish a beneficiary to have the use of your
property or estate for their lifetime, and for ownership to pass to a
charity after their death.
If you are thinking about making or updating your will, your solicitor
will be able to advise you further about the different kinds of bequest.
If a solicitor is drawing up your will, the only information he or she
needs is our name, address, and registered charity number, as below.
