BIG BOOK SALE FOR FEED THE CHILDREN

There will be an open-air books sale outside the Feed The Children (UK)’s warehouse and office on Friday 1st April to raise much-needed funds for the Twyford-based charity.

Charity volunteers are inviting bargain-hunters and bookworms to visit the stand to sift through a large variety of hardback (three for £2) and soft back books (three for £1), as well as CDs, DVDs and videos. The stand will be manned by volunteer manager, Sue Thomas, and her band of volunteers.

“We will be very much a destination shop rather than footfall venue,” says Sue Thomas, “so when we raised over £100 last year we were encouraged to hold another book sale.”

From 10am to 1pm on Friday 1st April Feed The Children volunteers will be selling donated books at the warehouse at 2 Tavistock Industrial Estate, Ruscombe Lane, Twyford, RG10 9NJ.
