This year, we focus on our basic need for water.  Crops cannot grow without water, and neither can children.

Where children across the developing world cannot have clean, safe water, they are often ill, from a host of bacteria, viruses and parasites, and can even die from dehydration caused by diarrhoea.

Clean water is a basic human right; but many millions of children have no choice but to collect water from dirty wells like this one in Uganda.
